According to The Hollywood Reporter, Marvel Studios is looking to put a new Deadpool & Wolverine pre-show spot in theaters. Featuring stars Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, the promo was shown to attendees at this year’s CinemaCon.
The spots starts with Deadpool making theories about Secret Wars, Marvel’s juggernaut Avengers film which currently in development. Each time the merc with a mouth tries to reveal something about the movie, a phone rings. This irks Wolverine, who yells at the audience and curses them out with multiple bleeps covering his foul words. This is a movie theater, not “your grandma’s nursing home,” he says. This seemingly turns Deadpool on, who says his “d*ck is vibrating.”
Marvel Studios has not confirmed this yet, but it seems to make logical sense.
Deadpool & Wolverine arrives in theaters on July 26, 2024.
