X-Men Fans Speculate Over “Dazzling” Taylor Swift Lyric

Is music superstar Taylor Swift teasing a “dazzling” future in the MCU? The singer/songwriter released her new album The Tortured Poets Department, and X-Men fans are speculating about lyrics that appear in the song, Clara Bow:

“You look like Taylor Swift in this light, we’re loving it/ You’ve got edge she never did/ The future’s bright, dazzling.”

Is she alluding to being cast as the mutant musician Dazzler in Marvel Studios’ Deadpool & Wolverine?

Definitely could be grasping for straws with that specific connection, but the possibility of her showing up in the film lingers. She’s friends with Ryan Reynolds and wife Blake Lively, and has been seen in public with Hugh Jackman and director Shawn Levy on multiple occasions. Maybe they are just friends and not coworkers, but Swift portraying Dazzler (or herself) feels like something that could happen.

We’ll find out when Deadpool & Wolverine comes to theaters on July 26, 2024.
