Deadline reports that Marvel Studios has a found a writer for their upcoming X-Men movie! Michael Lesslie (Now You See Me 3, Hunger Games: The Ballad Of Songbirds & Snakes, Assassin’s Creed) is currently in negations to pen the screenplay, fully utilizing mutants in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The project is still obviously in its early days as there’s no director attached and a release date is being decided upon.
Kevin Feige and execs met with a plethora of candidates for the highly-coveted gig. According to the trade, the decision was made to go with the British playwright and screenwriter late last week.
Outside of Deadpool & Wolverine and X-Men ‘97, this is Marvel’s first major move towards bringing their version of the X-Men to the big screen.
