The Motion Picure Association officially rated Deadpool & Wolverine, and it’s no surprise from the footage we’ve seen that it’s Rated R for “strong bloody violence and language throughout, gore and sexual references.” Still, this marks Marvel Studios’ (co-produced with 20th Century Studios) first theatrical production to receive the adult rating. A smart choice, matching the tone and level of Deadpool and Deadpool 2.
Directed by Shawn Levy (who, according to Deadline, is in early talks to director Avengers 5) and writen by Ryan Reynolds, Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick, Zeb Wells and Levy, the film stars Reynolds, Hugh Jackman, Emma Corrin, Morena Baccarin, Rob Delaney, Leslie Uggams, Karan Soni, and Matthew Macfadyen.
