Deadline reports that The Quorum is reporting that early tracking for Marvel Studios’ Deadpool & Wolverine is huge, coming in around $200M-$239M. That number is actually a lighter estimate, as it could make even more opening weekend.
If director Shawn Levy’s film makes it to $200M, it will be the first R rated movie to acheive that level of success. Deadpool (2016) currently holds the domestic box office record with $132.4M. According to the trade, even if it makes just $150M, it’ll be the highest opening of Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman’s careers, including the biggest opening of Summer ’24.
Deadpool & Wolverine claws its way into theaters on July 26.
