Following the second trailer release for Joker: Folie À Deux, Empire Magazine has revealed the regular and subscriber cover editions featuring the Clown Prince of Crime (Joaquin Phoenix) and his partner Lee (Lady Gaga).
“[It’s] unlike anything I’ve ever done before,” said Gaga. “I worked a lot on the way that I sang to come from Lee, and to not come from me as a performer. It’s like removing the technicality of the whole thing, removing my perceived art-form from it all and completely being inside of who she is.”
Described as a “dangerous,” music-fueled sequel, director Todd Phillips reveals “The inmates are running the asylum. It does feel like a big swing. You just go, ‘Well, f**k it. Why not? What are we all doing here, if not to do that?
Joker: Folie À Deux arrives in theaters on October 4, 2024.
