Marvel Studios’ director of visual development, Andy Park, shared a couple new keyframe concept artworks from Deadpool & Wolverine. They depict one of Logan’s iconic costumes, and the $1 billion duo battling it out in the Void.
“This was the original design I did of the classic brown and tan (John Byrne) costume,” writes Park. “I really really enjoyed creating this version. Nuff said!”
“During preproduction on this film I couldn’t just do one keyframe/illustration of these two fighting,” he shares. “Especially with my background as a comic book artist I had to do several. The challenge with these is to depict an almost stalemate scenario rather than having one clearly winning. Not as easy as it looks. But oh so fun!
Both pieces will feature in The Art of Deadpool and Wolverine.
Want to meet Park? He’ll be in attendance at the New York Comic Con on October 17-20 in Artist Alley C-29.
