Are the X-Men going to finally reunite in Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Doomsday or Avengers: Secret Wars? That’s the question on every mutant-fan’s minds these days. Now, Cyclops actors James Marsden and Tye Sheridan weigh in.
Speaking with Jake’s Takes while promoting his upcoming Sonic the Hedgehog 3 movie, Marsden (the original trilogy) was asked what he thought about this year’s Deadpool & Wolverine, which saw Hugh Jackman return to iconic role in a comic accurate costumes.
“Well first, I loved that movie. I thought they nailed it, and seeing Ryan and Hugh together was a real treat,” he said. “Seeing Hugh in the full comic book costume was super cool as well.”
Might we see something similar for Marsden’s Scott Summers in the MCU?
“It’s so cool to see these characters up on screen again,” he continued. “I know there’s a lot of chatter out there. I don’t really know anything, but it was a great thing to be part of and obviously, always [would be] a fun thing to don that suit. We’ll see.”
Meanwhile over at Screen Rant, Tye Sheridan (X-Men: Apocalypse, Dark Phoenix) shared his thoughts on his Cyclops potentially returning for another go in the future.
“I don’t know,” he said. “I don’t think there’s a question if there’s more stories to tell. I think there’s probably always more stories to tell. The question is whether audiences have a desire for those stories and whether we feel like those types of films have been oversaturated or they’re not, or if there’s a new way to make those films. But yeah, I’m not real sure.
