Now that Wolverine is officially part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, fans are speculating about what’s next for the legendary mutant. At the center of all the excitement is Hugh Jackman, who recently stepped back into the role of Logan in last year’s Deadpool & Wolverine. But as for whether the claws will come out again in Avengers: Doomsday, Jackman is keeping things close to the chest.
During an appearance on The View, the actor played coy when asked about any future plans involving the popular X-Man. “I wish I had something for you,” Jackman said with a grin. “When you say ‘appear,’ it sounds more like ‘take over and crush every other hero’—just joking,” he quipped, clearly enjoying the speculation.
Jackman clarified that, despite rumors, he truly doesn’t have any updates to share regarding a return in Doomsday. “If I did have something, I’d probably come up with a clever way to dodge it,” he laughed. “But honestly, I’ve got nothing.”
His response has only fueled fan theories, especially given the massive scale of the Marvel Studios film, which is set to unite characters from across the MCU, including X-Men from the 20th Century era. Whether or not Wolverine slashes his way into the action remains to be seen. If not Doomsday, there’s always Avengers: Secret Wars.
