The TVA has released a new Today in Marvel History animated clip which details the wedding of the Fantastic Four’s Reed Richard (Mr. Fantastic) and Sue Storm (Invisible Woman). With production by Wild Comet Media and Apus Studio, the clips features Miss Minutes explaining this iconic moment from the classic comic books.
Originally depicted in Fantastic Four Annual #3 (1965), the wedding is one of the earliest major superhero marriages in Marvel Comics, notable not just for its emotional core but for the sheer scale of its guest list (and guest brawls). Practically every major Marvel hero and villain of the era makes an appearance, including a chaotic attempt by Doctor Doom to crash the ceremony. The clip pays homage to that wild blend of romance and superhero spectacle, capturing the spirit of the Silver Age with stylized animation and Miss Minutes’ playful narration.
Marvel fans will appreciate the Easter eggs sprinkled throughout the video, from glimpses of lesser-known characters to nods at continuity quirks that only longtime readers might catch. It’s a fun blend of nostalgia and TVA-style storytelling that fits perfectly with Marvel’s continued exploration of its own timeline, and how even love stories can become sacred events.
