Kelsey Grammer is once again stepping back into the blue fur (digitally) for Marvel Studios, and the longtime X-Men star couldn’t be happier about it. Speaking with Entertainment Tonight, Grammer opened up about revisiting his iconic role as Hank McCoy/Beast in the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday, and it’s clear the character still means a great deal to him.

“To come back as Beast has been one of the great experiences of my life because I always loved the character,” Grammer shared. “I always thought of him as sort of the Martin Luther King of the mutant generation, you know, like he stood for rights and equality. Just a beautiful character and strong, you know, tough. I love the character so much.”

Grammer previously portrayed Beast in X-Men: The Last Stand and later returned for a cameo in X-Men: Days of Future Past. His admiration for the character has never softened, and he admitted that continuing Beast’s story has long been a personal hope. According to Grammer, he “Always wanted to do him again,” and his excitement hasn’t faded now that he’s back in the role. In fact, he made it clear he’s not ready to stop anytime soon: “I want to do him again.”

While Marvel is keeping plot details for Avengers: Doomsday under wraps, Grammer’s passion suggests Beast may have a meaningful role to play as the MCU continues to weave mutants into its expanding universe.

Fans will see Grammer’s return when Avengers: Doomsday hits theaters on December 18, 2026.
