DC Studios has officially kicked off what promises to be a bold reimagining of one of DC’s popular heroes: with the release of a new teaser for Supergirl. Starring Milly Alcock as Kara Zor-El, fans got their first glimpse of a Supergirl who’s far from the bright, idealistic figure many expect.
Alongside the teaser, the studio dropped a new theatrical one-sheet poster featuring Alcock front and center with the provocative tagline: “Truth. Justice. Whatever.”
This isn’t the kindly, naive Kryptonian of earlier adaptations, this feels edgier. Alcock’s portrayal, and the tagline’s irreverent twist, suggests a “get-your-hands-dirty” Supergirl. It’s a signal that this film might lean into a darker, more complicated hero journey than fans have seen before with Superman.
Supergirl flies into theaters on June 26, 2026.
