I like to be transparent with the people who visit this site, so I wanted to explain why you won’t usually find leaked set photos, leaked videos, or every anonymous casting rumor posted here.
For more than two decades, I’ve tried to run this site with one simple philosophy: take responsibility for everything I publish.
That means I’m selective about what I post. If something is a leaked image or video that clearly wasn’t meant to be seen by the public yet, I’m usually going to pass on it. The same goes for many casting rumors that don’t come from reliable sources. There are countless accounts chasing clicks by posting every rumor that appears online, but that’s never been what I wanted this site to be.
I often rely on the major Hollywood trades because they’ve earned a reputation for careful reporting. When they’re not reporting a particular rumor, that’s usually a sign for me to wait instead of rushing to publish something that may turn out to be false.
More importantly, I have a great deal of respect for Marvel Studios and the writers, directors, artists, actors, crew members, and everyone else who spends years bringing these films and shows to life. I can’t imagine pouring that much time, creativity, and passion into a project only to have pieces of it leak before I was ready to share it with the world. Every reveal is planned for a reason, and I think there’s something special about experiencing those moments the way the creative team intended.
That’s not to say I don’t enjoy speculation. Half the fun of being an X-Men fan is discussing possibilities and dreaming about who could play our favorite characters. But there’s a difference between fun conversation and presenting unverified information as news.
At the end of the day, I want this site to be a place readers can trust. I may not be the first to post every rumor or leak, and I’m okay with that. I’d rather be thoughtful than fast, and I’d rather celebrate the finished work than help spoil it before its creators are ready.
Thank you to everyone who continues to read and support this site. I truly appreciate it, and I’ll continue doing my best to cover the world of X-Men and superhero movies with the same respect and enthusiasm that inspired me to start this journey in the first place.
