Could another rising Hollywood star be on Marvel Studios’ radar?

Fresh off her breakout performance in Obsession, Inde Navarrette has revealed that she recently met with X-Men reboot director Jake Schreier, adding fuel to speculation about who could eventually join Marvel Studios’ highly anticipated mutant franchise.

In a new interview with Nylon, Navarrette shared that some of her dream directors to work with include Ryan Coogler, Greta Gerwig, Michael Mann, and Schreier. The profile also notes that she’s already had the opportunity to meet with Schreier, which is a noteworthy detail considering he’s currently developing Marvel Studios’ upcoming X-Men reboot.

While there’s no indication that the meeting was specifically related to a Marvel role, it’s hardly surprising that Schreier is meeting with some of Hollywood’s fastest-rising talent as work on the mutant reboot continues behind the scenes.

And if Marvel comes calling, Navarrette sounds more than ready.

When asked whether she’d be interested in starring in a Marvel movie, her answer was simple: “I would.”

That alone doesn’t confirm she’s in talks to join the MCU, but it certainly keeps her name in the conversation as the fandom continues to speculate about Marvel’s next generation of mutants. With casting rumors expected to ramp up in the coming months, every reported meeting between Schreier and emerging talent is bound to attract attention.

Whether this was simply a general industry meeting or something more, Navarrette has officially become another name fans may want to keep an eye on as Marvel Studios builds its new era of the X-Men.
