Marvel released a fun animated short, The X-Men Do an X-Scape Room, giving a fun, comedic adventure starring some of the X-Men’s most recognizable heroes.
Produced in a stop-motion style using action figures that evokes the look and feel of Robot Chicken, the short features Cyclops, Jean Grey, Cable, Rogue, and Nightcrawler as they attempt to conquer what appears to be an ordinary escape room. As expected, things don’t exactly go according to plan.
According to Marvel’s official description:
Join the X-Men as Cyclops turns the Danger Room into an escape ro- erm… Queen Put-Put’s tomb… that’s full of puzzles… and just so happens to look exactly like an escape room.
The playful short embraces the team’s personalities, with Cyclops taking charge while the rest of the mutants navigate increasingly absurd challenges inside the Danger Room’s latest simulation. Its tongue-in-cheek humor, and action figure animation make it feel like a love letter to both longtime X-fans and stop-motion comedy enthusiasts.
