Paramount Pictures has released a brand-new trailer for Street Fighter, the upcoming live-action adaptation of Capcom’s iconic fighting game franchise. The new footage offers a bigger look at Andrew Koji’s Ryu, Noah Centineo’s Ken Masters, Callina Liang’s Chun-Li, and the larger roster of World Warriors preparing to throw down on the big screen.

Set in 1993, Street Fighter follows estranged fighters Ryu and Ken as they are pulled back into combat when the mysterious Chun-Li recruits them for the next World Warrior Tournament. What initially appears to be the ultimate battle between the world’s greatest fighters soon reveals a much more dangerous conspiracy—one that forces Ryu and Ken to confront each other, as well as the demons of their past.

And, as the trailer makes clear, there is a lot more at stake than simply winning the tournament.

Directed by Kitao Sakurai, the film aims to bring the colorful, over-the-top energy of the Street Fighter games into a live-action cinematic setting, complete with Hadoukens, roundhouse kicks, familiar characters and plenty of Easter eggs for longtime fans.

Street Fighter hits theaters October 16, 2026.
