The X-Men are gearing up for another action-packed chapter, and if the latest X-Men ’97 Season 3 preview is any indication, we all have plenty to be excited about! Screened at New York Comic Con (NYCC), the attendees-only real revealed several major character appearances, a highly anticipated wedding, and a major shake-up within the Brotherhood of Mutants.
One of the biggest surprises from the teaser is the appearance of Deadpool, She-Hulk, and Namor in Season 3. These additions could open the door to exciting new interactions within the Marvel animated universe, bringing together some of Marvel’s most recognizable characters.
Perhaps the most heartwarming reveal is the wedding of Rogue and Gambit! The teaser shows Storm and Professor X driving to their ceremony, hinting at a major milestone for the two beloved characters. Rogue and Gambit’s relationship has long been a fan favorite, filled with romance, heartbreak, and the challenges of Rogue’s powers. Seeing the couple take this next step could be a welcomed emotional moment, especially following the dramatic events surrounding Gambit in the previous season.
Of course, with the X-Men, even a wedding celebration could come with unexpected complications. Could the big day go off without a hitch, or will mutant drama threaten to steal the spotlight?
The preview also features Mystique as the leader of the Brotherhood of Mutants, setting the stage for another compelling conflict in the upcoming season. Mystique is one of the X-Men universe’s most unpredictable figures, known for her strategic mind, and complicated history with the X-Men.
The combination of superhero crossovers and emotional character moments could make the next season another eXciting chapter in the revival’s story.
