XMF/the SUPER

X-Men, superheroes, genre movies, and more—bringing you the latest news, trailers, and updates from across fandom.

Aleks Le, the voice of Daredevil in Marvel Rivals, has released Daredevil: DAMNED, a new fan film short inspired by the Marvel superhero. The project grew out of Le’s experience voicing the Man Without Fear in the popular video game, which he says encouraged him to pursue new creative endeavors. Marking one year since he took on the role, Le is stepping behind a different kind of project to bring his own vision of Matt Murdock to life.

Described as a surreal, hyper-stylized action short, Daredevil: DAMNED explores Matt Murdock’s ongoing struggle with his faith and purpose. As Daredevil fights to clean up the streets of Hell’s Kitchen, he must also confront his own moral code and the darker impulses that drive his brutal methods. The film raises a central question about the hero’s motivations: Are his violent actions justified by the will of his creator, or are they simply a reflection of the darkness within himself?

Le revealed that he spent the last 10 months pouring his time, energy, personal savings, and passion into the project. He emphasized that the short was created entirely out of his desire to make something he thought was cool, rather than for profit, sponsorships, or career advancement. For Le, Daredevil: DAMNED is a personal creative endeavor born from his connection to the character and his desire to explore a new side of storytelling. The project is a fresh fan-made take on one of Marvel’s most complex heroes.
