Marvel and Insomniac Games have released a new behind-the-scenes featurette for Marvel’s Wolverine, giving a good look at the motion-capture process used to bring the iconic mutant and the game’s other characters to life. The video features Wolverine actor Liam McIntyre alongside members of the Insomniac Games development team, who discuss the work that went into translating live performances into the game’s digital characters.
The featurette shows some of the creative techniques used during production, including a motorcycle rig built at the studio to simulate riding and scenes involving fake whiskey drinking. These practical setups helped the performers recreate specific actions and movements, giving the development team authentic performances to work with as they brought the game’s characters and world to life.
Now available on PlayStation 5, Marvel’s Wolverine puts Logan in the focus for a standalone gaming experience, allowing players to step into the shoes of the fierce mutant known for his adamantium claws, healing factor, and absolutely relentless fighting style.
