The X-MEN: FIRST CLASS sequel is currently being developed with Simon Kinberg writing the initial script and director Matthew Vaughn and producer Bryan Singer attached. Original ‘First Class’ co-writer Jane Goldman recently spoke with Film School Rejects about the next film and was asked if she would ever consider bringing in characters like Cyclops or Jean Grey.
“You know, I can always make suggestions, and I did last time.” says Goldman. “Ultimately, those decisions come down to someone other than me. Would I, personally [add Cyclops and/or Jean Grey]? Well, it’s really tricky. I think the route we had gone down with First Class — it’s sort of a question of where to go next, and I think those two characters were very strong, especially having [Michael] Fassbender and [James] McAvoy play them so brilliantly.” she continues. “In a comic sense, I still think there’s room for an X-Men [film] with the original X-Men [Laughs]. In terms of how they fit in this new universe that First Class kicked off, I don’t know. I mean, yes, I think there’s room for that. All sorts of ideas have been talked about and Matthew has some particular ideas, and, in this case, all of those decisions will be done through Matthew.”

I want the story to be focused on the X-men first class characters.
i agree with you Jesse i realy do but how are we supose to do if Matt the director is the writter of Kick ass 2 film and then theyre making later on x-men first class 2 after they finnished the sec film of Kick ass 2 that,s why they said that the movie is in 2013 the movie of X-men first class 2 for me i m dying to see at least the photos of the sec film of the new character but first is kick ass 2 and then X-men first class 2

They could add the original x-men characters with old Professor X and Magneto in the third film of the movie. I would be great if Mr. Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen will reprise their role for the last part of the First Class Trilogy.
I think they should introduce Scott and Jean at the end of the film,
they said that the sequel is focussing on the two charracters (Eric and Charles) But they might add more characters in the background.
I say let them focus on Erik and Charles in the second film and then stop that and focus on getting the team togther. I want them to add more characters in, but i pefre them adding Jean and Scott in at the end and focus on the original team in the third film.
I think they should show a glimpse of the future by Jean or any other epic charcter and show Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen as they are in the original trilogly-This is to Ken BTW

For the sequel I think they must introduce Storm and Cyclops. For Jean, I don’t think they can introduce her for the second movie, because it’s still connected to the X-Men Trilogy and in X3: The Last Stand, Professor X and Magneto were old when they took young Jean.

So true, i mean Xaiver could ask Eric to help him with cerebro and Erik could secretly plot an evil plan or wait…They too much of good friends….They have to become proper enmies…
But, they could just put her (Jean) in and somehow fix it….
Yeah, and remember back to X-men 1, Professor-X told Wolverine that EriK helped him built the cerebro, so that’s a 100% sure that it might happen.

I want Jean to end up appearing in the end of the movie, coz, it says in X1 that Jean among Scott and Storm where the first X-Man’s, so i guess she needs to come in…
I would like to see this in the sequel:
-Magneto falls/gets interested in Emma
-Mystique then get angry
-Azazel fall/get the oppoutunity to have Nigthcrawler
-Have Mangeto find out, get furious and then make a deal for Azazel to disappear out of eveyones lives
-Then Magneto tells Mystique that the humans killed Azazel and have Mystique turn into the cold blooded killer and non talker she is in the orignal triliogy.
That kinda makes sence to me, Ken what to you think?
@Marvel-Fan-For-Life, I like the idea on how Mystique’s turned to be a cold blooded killer. I just want to see more about Mystique, like how she fights with the other human or mutants, and also Emma Frost.
Jean Grey, Cyclops and Storm are the first X-man, we all know that from the x-men 1, so I think their story will end up like that.
The woman has no idea how to write a movie, this second movie should start brigding the gap toward the X-Men Movies as estalished in the original trilogy.

Yeah.. that’s why it looks like not totally Mystique from the X-men Trilogy. Who knows what their capable of in the sequel.

Prof x with hair, just looks wrong and it irritates me.
I like the first film, and they seem to have good ideas on where to take the trilogy, but i still feel they used the wrong characters for the first movie. They should have stuck to the original 5 members.
But whatever, it would be nice if they could maybe bring in Iceman, Cyclops and Jean Grey in the sequel. I would say bring in Angel too, but they already included the female character Angel in the first movie, and it would mess up the continuity of the 3rd X-Men film, cos the original Angel character only finds out about the X-Men then…. (in the movie’s universe) …
