Could this be our first look at promotional artwork for Hugh Jackman and director James Mangold’s THE WOLVERINE? ScreenRant gave us the heads up to an Instagram user by the name of “Mesterpiece” who apparently took the below photo, claiming it was taken from Mangold’s production offices in Los Angeles. Since gaining coverage, the image (featuring Wolverine’s claw slicing the Japanese flag) was quickly removed by the user. Neat concept, but could be offensive to Japan. Real or fan-made fake? Only time will tell…
Filming later this year for a July 26, 2013 release, THE WOLVERINE follows Logan as he treks Japan and falls in love with a woman whose hand is already promised to another.
