Good news! Sources tell The Hollywood Reporter that 20th Century Fox is planning a January 2013 start for its quickly developing sequel to X-MEN: FIRST CLASS. This word comes after the studio sent out notices to multiple talent agencies. Both Fox and competing studio Lionsgate were vying at locking-in actress Jennifer Lawrence for their respective franchises. No conflicts are expected as Lawrence will film THE HUNGER GAMES sequel this Summer.
Things have been relatively quiet for Fox’s other X-MEN film THE WOLVERINE. There’s a tentative release date of July 26, 2013 but not much else is known. Star Hugh Jackman is currently filming LES MISERABLES and is expected to bulk-up for Wolverine afterwards.
