X-MEN ORIGINS: WOLVERINE was notorious for switching up the look for Deadpool, played by Ryan Reynolds. Some early concept art by Amalgamated Studios shows that there were even wilder designs in the running, while others are a little a bit closer to that of the comic. How we ended up with the final product is anyone’s guess.
It was our job to satisfy the many creative voices on the show, from director Gavin Hood to the Producers and Studio, so we generated a huge selection of artwork from complete direction changes to subtle variations like tweaks to eye color.
