Caleb Landry Jones will not be returning as Banshee in Bryan Singer’s X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST. The news was confirmed by ShockTillYouDrop editor Ryan Turek.
In January, Moira MacTaggert actress, Rose Byrne said she was still waiting to see if she would have a part in the film. January Jones, who plays the diamond-skinned mutant telepath, Emma Frost said “I don’t think Emma’s in this one.” We know Azazel isn’t coming back. No word on Havok, Angel and Riptide, though their involvement is looking less likely.
It appears that Singer is only keeping the most developed characters, Charles, Erik, Beast and Mystique. It’d be nice to have MacTaggert, as she was in the original “Future Past” comic book arc.

Good. Banshee was terribly characterized in First Class.
None of the younger mutants were developed, besides Beast and Mystique. I would have liked to see Banshee further explored though, so this sucks. 🙁
I’m disappointed !
This movie is so advanced in story I don’t think it would fit to have them return from First Class who haven’t already been brought back on board. They need a separate movie before Days of Future Past, and they can back up and go to that particular timeline as a true sequel.
Sounds more and more like First Class cast is getting thrown out.
definetly, and the frustrating thing is to feel that Matthew wouldnt have done this, to all the new characters of the first movie
When Matthew was talking about the sequel he always mentioned there would only be one new cast member. He would have kept the bulk of his “First Class” cast.
Since this is looking more like X-Men 4 and not a First Class sequel, this is not surprising news.
I so agree that Im officially going to tell people this is an X-men 4.
highly dissapointed and frustrated with this decision. With all the fresh air FC gave us, and now Singer is dropping all that fresh blood and characters on the next movie.
I get the Hellfire absence, but to drop the FC x-men too, except Beast? and probably Moira too? Wow. Such a letdown on my excitment for this movie
I like Banshee in XFC but I’m fine that he will not gonna return in the sequel.. I think having Banshee in the first film just telling the fans and the viewers that he has a connection in X-men Trilogy.. (Having Syrin in the movie)
