Update: Happy April Fools’ Day!
With production gearing up for an April 15th start, the announcements for X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST are steadily streaming in. Fans can breathe a sigh of relief – James Marsden is confirmed to reprise his iconic role as Cyclops. The character seemingly died in X3, but an explanation should not be too difficult, as the story will feature multiple and alternate timelines.
Everyone’s still waiting to see if Famke Janssen will return as Jean Grey. The character has a definite presence in this year’s THE WOLVERINE. Considering Cyclops is back, it makes every sense to have Jean there as well.
There’s also confirmation on who Omar Sy and Booboo Stewart are playing in the film. Sy will play Maggott, a South African mutant who has a digestive system in the form of two slugs, which can eat through practically any substance. Stewart will play Avalanche, a mutant who possesses the ability to generate seismic waves from his hands.
They join a massive cast that includes James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Hugh Jackman, Halle Berry, Kelsey Grammer, Anna Paquin, Bruce Davidson, Svetlana Khodchekova, Edi Gathegi, Tao Okamoto, Ellen Page, Shawn Ashmore, Daniel Cudmore, Ray Park, January Jones, Ryan Reynolds, Taylor Kitsch, Ben Foster, Rebecca Romijn, Rose Byrne, Lucas Till, Jason Flemyng, Rila Fukushima, Kevin Durand, Kelly Hu, Eric Dane, Zoe Kravitz, Kea Wong, Liev Schreiber, Tyler Mane, Aaron Stanford, Vinnie Jones, Fan Bingbing and Peter Dinklage.

I can’t believe those humors about Bishop, Warpath, Sunfire are just a big imagination..
If you look at the ‘announced’ cast list, it’s listing several actors and actresses who have said they won’t be in the movie.
PLUS, Bryan Singer hasn’t tweeted anything and he’s been doing so for pretty much all the news on casting.
yeah.. or if we think closely.. This is a logical news at all; maybe one of those false news was real..

Phoenix MUST rise because she is so immortal being more powerful always. it’s perfect Famke must introduce as White Phoenix of the Crown a new character 🙂 i think Emma will have to take a loving for Cyclops now. and Phoenix is dating with Wolverine, same with Gambit and Rogue. Scarlet Witch / Colossus / Kitty / Nightcrawler Sabretooth and Mystique. but don’t leave this is great time to introduce Apocalypse’s Force… Apocalypse Mister Sinister Holocaust Exodus Vertigo Archangel and Lady Deathstrike.. i hope Selene / The Black Queen should be there

The Phoenix Force would return to Earth during the mini-series X-Men: Phoenix – Endsong, where it resurrected from her grave in X men 3 Last Stand. It is not long before she remembers what she has come for — Scott Summers (a.k.a. Cyclops). She needs to feed from the energy from his optic blasts, and confused by Phoenix’s emotions thinks she’s in love with Scott. She realizes Scott is in love with Emma Frost (former White Queen of the Hellfire Club and headmistress of the Xavier Institute for Higher Learning). Through a number of incidents, including Phoenix having Wolverine kill her a number of times in X3, Phoenix then declares that she and the Phoenix is truly one entity now, have transcended going to be the White Phoenix of the Crown. This is signified by a new white and gold costume. her power completed is more powerful than she was before as Phoenix who turned into Dark Phoenix with a wore red one in X3.

I am glad to see the return of James. I am greatly surprised Booboo will play Avalanche. I thought he would maybe be Sunfire from the poll ideas, as that would seem to throw in a fire wielding mutant since Pyro doesn’t look to be returning. Great news though anyway.

Guys, it’s April 1st which means April’s Fools. Alan Cumming has already said he won’t be part of the movie and he was listed in the cast list above. Anthony is pulling a fast one on you guys.
I know this is an April 1 joke, but I think for some of the actors listed here, Offers have gone out to reprise their roles for Days of Future Past. I’m sure at the very least, Byran has asked James Marsten to reprise his Cyclops role, and maybe we will see some of the other actors from the previous films return as well. As we get closer to filming, I’m sure Byran will keep us posted on his twitter account.
