The cast for X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST is getting even larger! Rising Australian star Josh Helman (Jack Reacher) has been added to the ever-growing ensemble, according to The Wrap. Though his role in unspecified, Helman is said to be filming on-set “for several weeks.”
There’s a list of characters he could be playing, so we’ll leave it at that.
The film also stars Hugh Jackman, Halle Berry, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Anna Paquin, Ellen Page, Shawn Ashmore, Daniel Cudmore, Fan Bingbing, Omar Sy, Peter Dinklage, Evan Peters and million of other talented actors.
He definetly has the look to be a sexy x-man. But honestly no idea which mutant he could be on the 70’s. At least not one from that era (60’s-70’s) I wouldnt like mutants from present comics on the 70’s, but wont be as surpised if Singer does it. 🙁

I believe he is from the future brotherhood.. with Quicksilver.. maybe Avalanche, I just hope he can do some Cretan accent in this one..
This Movie may be ruined by an over-load of too many new characters. Anyone agree with me at all?
Nah. You just have no faith mate. If you look at the big big picture, The cast and characters were just the same like the other x-men movies.. yeah, about the new characters, maybe this is just a hint for more upcoming x-men sequels..
This movie will be the new beginning of the x-men universe.. they really need to do it..
I think he’s gambit.
I think he will play Gambit. He has the look, he;s the right age, and he could wear a purple shirt, brown coat and throw charged energy playing cards with no problem. That’s who I think he is playing.
Fox already has a Gambit. It makes zero sense to recast the role.

Movies like Mortal Kombat Annihilation, Street Fighter, Batman and Robin, etc. that were ruined basically by way too many characters. They were all films too in reference to stuff like comic books and video games. Right now on IMDB.com the cast of this X-Men Days of the Future Past looks huge compared to the Cast of The Wolverine on there even.
They could recast Gambit since they are doing away with the Wolverine Origins story line all together. Look at Emma Frost, they recast that part for First Class. I could see him as Gambit or Avalanche. I hope he is Gambit though. I think we are gonna see more name announced soon. We still need a complete 70’s X-Men team and Brotherhood team. This is what we have so far for both.

So as you can see there are going to need to be at least 3 more X-Men to round out the team. I’m still half way expecting to see Young Cyclops and Jean enter into things. Maybe young Storm, Scarlet Witch, & Avalanche.
They didn’t actually declared that this Emma from XOW is Emma Frost, (but too obvious that she is really Emma Frost).. and her character was just a minor one unlike Gambit who really has this supporting role for Wolverine.. so I guess, they can recast that.. unless older for the future Gambit..
The point is that they are choosing to ignore Wolverine Origins. There were to many story issues.
Yeah.. I think its for the best. I mean, XOW happened and they can’t change that event. So, now they just not trying to focus on that story to lessen those issues..
This movie, The Wolverine might be the replacement to the origin..
