Hugh Jackman: ‘Days of Future Past’ is like 3 movies in 1.

Access Hollywood interviewed Hugh Jackman, who returns as Wolverine in X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST. The star talks about the long-sustaining franchise, boasts about the epic-ness of the latest film and has nothing but praises for the director, Bryan Singer.

“I was in at a screening and when the little ‘easter egg’ came up during the credits of ‘The Wolverine’ I just heard people yelling and cheering and screaming to see Patrick Stewart come back out in the wheelchair, seeing Ian McKellen with that fedora on, and I know having sat at Comic Con on that panel with that extraordinary cast. I keep saying it’s like two movies in one, but the size of it is like three in one and it really is gonna blow people away because [of] the story. Bryan Singer I think is gonna become the first director to make increasingly better movies in a franchise, I’m not sure if anyone else has done it.”

Giving credit to Singer’s pioneering of the current wave of superhero films, Jackman says “A few people kind of credit Bryan for what he deserves credit for which is really inventing that genre there wasn’t a really superhero genre before ‘X-Men’ came out.”
