Last week rumors spread across the net that X-Men villain Apocalypse would be presented as an alien in the upcoming X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST, leading into 2016’s X-MEN: APOCALYPSE. XMF did not report on this otherworldly rumor, and possibly for good reason. Director Bryan Singer quelled the info via Twitter today, by saying “Apocalypse is not an alien.”
In the comics, Apocalypse (real name En Sabah Nur) is an ancient mutant born thousands of years ago, who was abandoned as an infant due to his unnatural appearance. Throughout his long history, he encouraged civilizations to worship him as a god and tests their strength by manipulating them into fighting wars of conquest, claiming to have brought “growth, judgment, and destruction” upon their communities.

YEAH. good thing no alien…. BUT GIVE US THE ORIGINAL CAST IN APOCALYPSE
Ya this should be done with the orignal cast in the future not in the 70 with kids.

Move on with the original cast and at the same time, introduce new characters such as Psylocke, Polaris, etc…
Anthony, do you believe the other rumors that Vulture brought forth? I hope not; I really want the OT cast to be in this and it not only be FC 3.

As to the original cast not featuring; I was having difficulty figuring out how both casts would fit together in this one so… I don’t know…
This seems to be less ‘Age of Apocalypse’, and more ‘Judgement Day’ though. Possibly a product of Bryans’s affection for the animated series. I’d be paying attention to how Apocalypse in portrayed in that I think, if I were trying to figure what the plot of this movie might be.
I wanted the original, cast but I too wonder how they would handle both casts again. Thet can’t just forget about the “First Class” crew and can’t exactly repeat what they’re doing with DOFP. I’m sad, but understand why it’s like this. Hopefully DOFP isn’t the originals “swan song.” Still need more of them. 🙁
