Update: This rumor has been debunked due to misdirected information. The potential for a X-Men and Fantastic Four crossover is still very much a possibility, but not as presented in the article below.

This article is prefaced with a RUMOR tag as I’m not sure if the source below has received new information or if these details were pulled from pre-existing reports and speculation.
According to The Motley Report, Twentieth Century Fox Film Corporation is planning a crossover movie for its two major Marvel properties “X-Men” and “Fantastic Four”. It will “allegedly” be based on the 1987 four-issue comic book titled FANTASTIC FOUR vs. X-MEN. The movie would see Reed Richards, Invisible Woman, The Human Torch and The Thing face off against the mutant team due to secrets regarding the Fantastic Four’s origin.
If true, this may be the “Marvel mash-up” idea that Bryan Singer mentioned last August at Montreal’s Fantasia Fest. Writer Simon Kinberg (X-Men: Days of Future Past) has been working on the “Fantastic” script re-write, joining producer Matthew Vaughn (director of X-Men: First Class) and director, Josh Trank (Chronicle). Fox has been very quiet about its looming June 19, 2015 release date for FF, which has no solid details on casting yet. Perhaps because there are bigger plans at hand? We’ll have to wait and see.
Take with a grain of salt until proven otherwise.
i’d rather keep things separate… don’t want my xmen to be tainted 😎
This could be great if done right.
Anyway, as a fan of X-Men and Fantastic Four, seeing them together would be really exciting!
I have no problem in this one.. I just want to see the original X-men cast and characters.
Id preffer X5 with original cast alone, instead of this. But as long as they are back, I’ll accept anything they have in store
They should make an X5 first before this cross-over.
Its always exciting to see the original gang in a new movie, but I don’t want Fox to just use them for cross-over films such as DOFP and FF VS X-Men.
I’d prefer that this didn’t happen and that the rights reverted to marvel, not because I hate Fox but because I feel like more could be done with the FF and it would have a greater improvement on the Marvel universe than on the Fox universe. Fox has done a great job creating their very own mutant universe and I don’t think the FF would fit very well into this rather dark corner of the multiverse. (I’m not saying dark is bad I just think the FF is more lighthearted and would fit better with the Avengers than with the X men.
I know they are going to make the FF movie first to introduced them and then on after credits, its the start of the cross over thingy..
