If there’s one thing X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST made clear is that a bunch of mutants were killed during the 10-year gap from FIRST CLASS. Angel Salvadore, Azazel, Banshee and Emma Frost were all named by Magneto as being killed, though we only get to see visual proof of Angel and Azazel’s lifeless bodies from autopsy photos. Well now Cinema Blend has official pics (click here to see ’em all) of some mutants who were studied and sewn back up…most notably, Angel.

This is freaky as hell. I watched XDOFP over and over and saw only Angel, Banshee and Azazel’s photos. No sign of Emma. I hope she still alive.
Where’s Banshees photo? I can’t seem to find it and I refuse to believe he’s dead till I see it, he was one of my favourite characters in x-men first class
In the film at 11:37 in, they show multiple autopsy photos on a table and Banshees is at the top in the middle.
I didn’t see banshee’s autopsy photo even. I just saw azazel’s and angel salvadore’s. that’s it. how the hell did trask even kill them after he captured them? the only reason they had this about them in xdofp is because the actors and actresses didn’t want to return as these characters again for the sequel.
According to “The Bent Bullet” viral site, Angel and Azazel were killed during a raid by Project: Wideawake operatives. I guess Trask just picked up their remains.
It also mentions the CIA secretly killed a dozen or so mutants.
His file said “S. Cassidy” or Sean Cassidy which is Banshee’s real name.

Not happy with any of the deaths, tbh. I would’ve liked to see more from all the “First Class” characters, Moira included.
just remember. events of all the x-men films can now be accumulative since they can travel through time. of course ,therefore, they can resurrect mutants who were killed in the past and bring them back to life in the present. look at X.M.D.O.F.P. for example. almost all the mutants ,in the future, at the beginning were later murdered by the mark II sentinels. then wolverine fixated the present by altering the past timeline and brought almost all of them back to life that were killed by the sentinels. You see Storm get murdered by a Sentinel then you see her back to life after Wolverine stops Trask from being Assassinated by Mystique. This could be the case with banshee, Azazel, Emma Frost, Angel Salvadore, etc. from First Class.
Actually the mutants that were killed Before 1973 cannot be resurrected because Wolverine did not travel far back enough to save the lives of the previously killed so called “X-Men” in First Class. Therefore cannot possibly be alive. I hope Emma is alive still on Apocalypse. But seeing the Sentinels transform into diamond form there is a definite possibility she actually had been killed, or she’s still alive and sentinels somehow just got her ability but did not kill her. To Jacob Horstman.
If they want to handle it properly they’ll say that they got Emma’s powers into the sentinels by using Rogue’s powers instead of Mystique’s which was the original story. The new sentinel’s powers were supposed to be a combination of both, that’s how they’re able to have the powers that they do… The White Queen is quite alive and well.
I am so happy I read these comment because I cannot wait to see my wifey Emma Frost back on the screen again!! There is still hope.
I just hope Azazel can be resurrected, had the potential to do and be so much more… i sensed there could’ve been much more to come, maybe even a Nightcrawler and Azazel… face off? Or just pure Azazel badassery. Hate it when the dead character you miss most is a dead villain, they never get much of a second chance.
EXPECTATION
I wanted more of azazel. He could have killed ALL OF THEM but in this movie his true power and strength were not explored and IM PISSED that he was wrote into this movie as shaw’s’ B****. I didn’t want him to be pure evil but I wanted to see the struggle with his demonic nature but still wanted to fight for his cause and complete his mission; some- what of a lone solider. A character who may be the first few of his kind and nearing extinction so he walks with and blends in with the mutants, those who would accept him.
MY IDEAS ABOUT A ORIGIN STORY
I feel like his origin story needs an update. ( devil incarnate/ hell dimension.. is kinda a lot to swallow and has alot of explaining to do so but rather I thought of a origin story of … maybe a ceature created by apocalypse forged from magma and volcanic ash and the spirits of a darken soul …-the purpose- to serve apocalypse but they rebelled ).
AZAZEL DEAD??
First off azazel isn’t even a real Mutant but more of a demon hybrid and he is known to be immortal ( living for a long time but I will say that NOTE- azazel autopsy photo was only of his face with barely any new marks . We see angel s. was literally cut open and limbs takens (wings). There is still hope that azazel could still be out there, what a plot twist if he wasn’t murdered but was knocked out or resurrected due to his demon abilities , The photo could have been taken moments before finding out hes not Dead or taken by a survivor so they could go into hiding. The movie didn’t go into full detail about his demonic abilities or heritage or His RELATIONSHIP with MYSTIQUE . I wanted more hints and easter eggs about this relationship. If not for these two sake for kurt’s (night crawler) we have quick silver learning about his father and wanting to meet him and know him , Kurt is in the same BOAT he wants this and I feel like if we cant get a face to face with Azazel and Kurt. I would love a movie between first class and days of future past- a villain movie would be awesome. We have suicide squad and this is a great template for the the villains of XMEN. How amazing would it be to get footage of Azazel kicking ass with his team in the 60s -maybe security cam footage- to Kurt in the 80s. He will realize hes not just a freak among freaks, a feeling that beast and mystique lived with and expressed on film but a mutant from a particular species who have very unique exterior characteristics with one another and there is or ‘was’. I choose IS. A mutant who looks like him, has powers like him. He could learn so much and develop more quickly. I want to see this moment in film. I think it would be very powerful and emotional. Question. Really , why do we call them villains?? They are fighting for what they believe in but where do we draw the line? Killing? We tend to call them the bad guys because they, i guess, they “kill” people -boo hoo. So does wolverine( but he gets a pass for being uber sexy lol)
NIGHTCRAWLER PARENTS
Do not screw this up. It was mean to be that Azazel and Mystique left first class on the same team. Its a slap to Azazel face if you question his paternity to night crawler especially since hes assumed dead. I heard about Mystique and another teleporter and then some other guy. TF. She did skip over Azazel autopsy photo pretty fast there will little emotion untill she saw Angel S. ( there could of been something there too if you know what im saying..lol *wink*) I know Mystique has been slutting it up through out time , and with her powers who would blame her. Its damn cool to be anyone. I would choose beyonce for a couple of weeks and party it up but…***$&#^$& …back to the story. Nightcrawler is AZAZELS’ little mini me, and I would love to see them both together fighting, either with or against each other but under the intent to hurt but not kill one another.
