James McAvoy on his excitement filming #XMen with Patrick Stewart.

Access Hollywood has a new video featurette with footage from next week’s release of X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST on Blu-ray. In this clip, James McAvoy gushes about how excited he was to film a scene with “Charles Xavier” vet, Patrick Stewart.

“When I got the part three years ago, it got into the news or whatever and my friend, who I used to watch ‘X-Men’ with called me up – and I was a huge ‘Star Trek’ fan as well – my friend Mark calls me up and goes, ‘I hear you’re going to play Patrick Stewart,” said McAvoy, sitting next to an amused Stewart. “He didn’t say Charles Xavier, he didn’t say Professor X. I’m a very lucky boy!”
