Honest Trailers takes on X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST and brings up similarities between the film and Terminator 2: Judgement Day. The clip addresses Wolverine’s constant return in each film, the fact that a bunch of characters die (but not really), and brings up how Quicksilver’s powers could basically save the day. One issue brought up is knowing how the future timeline ends up, undermining the stakes presented in APOCALYPSE and future films, since most of the X-Men are together, apparently happy, at the thriving school.
This reveals something to us worth knowing about the Timeline within the X-Men Movie Universe. Yes. It is misconstrued. Yes. It is disgruntled. We need future X-Men Movies to actually fix this up somehow for us. The Time Line is still leaving us inquisitive and questionable. The X-Men Movie Events don’t look connective at all.
They had a hard time to put this one together… Not much to be honest about the film after all, it was one of the best films this year.
If you compare this honest Trailer to the one for Spiderman 2… ROFL, now this film was picked apart.
Ever since these Prequel X-Men Movies started being made, all the X-Men Films have looked like nothing but non-explainable with tons of gaps in them for questioning. X-Men First Class started this all with it’s “Loose Prequel” thing. Same thing with X-Men Origins Wolverine in which it looked like it maintained no continuity at all with the X-Men Trilogy Movies (as a Prequel to it). They would’ve been smart enough to have just produced an X-Men 4 Movie (and continue the series) besides just start making all these disgruntled-looking X-Men Prequel Movies.
Actually X-MEN ORIGINS did fit well into the established continuity, it was with FIRST CLASS that things started to be difficult to explain.
What I don’t like about X-Men Origins: Wolverine, is that Wolverine and Sabre tooth are half-brothers in it. In that First X-Men Movie though (2000), Sabre tooth was just nothing but a big waste of villainy in it (and him and Wolverine acted like they didn’t even know each other. Just like The Juggernaut in X-Men The Last Stand was nothing but a waste of Villainy (The Juggernaut in X-Men The Last Stand was just a big dope that they found on a Truck with an English Accent).
