“Charles Xavier” actor James McAvoy appeared on The Jonathan Ross Show and offered up an amusing story about how he wrongly prepped himself for 2011’s X-MEN: FIRST CLASS. “I did actually shave my head,” McAvoy admitted, laughing. “I turned up [on set] and they went, ‘No, no, no, no, no it’s the 60s, we want him to be haired … well, not bald.”
The Scottish actor revealed that he had to turn to a “dear friend and follicle facilitator” who “spent about 24 hours putting hair extensions in [his] hair.”
Will McAvoy be able to shave his head for the 1983 setting in X-MEN: APOCALYPSE? The actor said months ago: “I think I’m losing my hair finally. And, yeah, that’s kind of all I know.”
