X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST received an Academy Award nomination for “Visual Effects.” The announcement was made Thursday morning in Los Angeles. VFX supervisors Richard Stammers, Lou Pecora, Tim Crosbie and Cameron Waldbauer are up for receiving the honor.
This is the first time an X-Men film has been nominated for an Oscar.
Competition includes “Dawn of the Planet of the Apes,” “Captain America: The Winter Soldier,” “Guardians of the Galaxy” and “Interstellar.”
