Director Josh Boone teases progress of NEW MUTANTS script.

Director Josh Boone took to his instagram to let fans know the he and writer Knate Lee have completed the second draft of their NEW MUTANTS script for 20th Century Fox. “Cover of a certain script Knate Lee & I turned in last night to [Simon Kinberg] #newmutants 2nd draft.”

On the progress of the film’s script, producer Kinberg told IGN last month “They’re doing a really nice job of it, and it’s a really cool one, because in many ways, like Deadpool was so different from the mainline X-Men movies, New Mutants… It’s maybe not as different as Deadpool, but it has its own unique, original voice to it.”

There’s no official word on when we can expect to see the New Mutants on the big screen, though Fox has Octber 6, 2017 and January 12, 2018 pre-scheduled for upcoming Marvel projects.
