The WOLVERINE finale quietly began production in New Orleans last week with director James Mangold at helm. While cast and crew are remaining quiet about the film’s details, producer Simon Kinberg provided Collider with a taste of what fans can expect from the (confirmed) R-rated film.
“It’s a very radical, bold, different Wolverine than you’ve ever seen in any of these movies,” he said while during press rounds for X-MEN: APOCALYPSE. “I’m not sure what I’m allowed to say about that. I will agree with you that Patrick Stewart was rumored to be a part of that film. It takes place in the future, and as you and others have reported, it is an R-rated movie. It’s violent, it’s kind of like a western in its tone. It’s just a very cool, different film.”
Last week, production designer Francois Audouy instagrammed that production was going under the guise of “Jaurez.”
Releasing in theaters March 3, 2017 – Starring Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart, Boyd Holbrook, Stephen Merchant, Elise Neal, Eriq La Salle and Richard E. Grant.
