X-Men: Apocalypse start screening tonight in USA and Canada!
**
X-Men trilogies seem to follow a pattern.
Middling but enjoyable first film (X-Men, X-Men: First Class)
Outstanding second film (X2: X-Men United, X-Men: Days of Future Past)
Terrible third film (X3: Last Stand, X-Men: Apocalypse)
You can even potentially say the same about the two Wolverine movies, though at a much, much lower level (i.e. Origins was garbage, The Wolverine was middling but enjoyable). Which makes me afraid of what kind of turd Fox will put out for the third Wolverine movie.
Fox desperately needs to take a lesson from Marvel: if you want to have an extended universe, you have to make movies that center around the characters, not the world.
Adapt the comics costume or animated X-men tv series to X-men movies
