Deadpool’s X-Men costars Colossus (Stefan Kapicic) and Negasonic Teenage Warhead (Brianna Hildebrand) are set to appear in the sequel, according to writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick.
“I can’t say how much they are,” teased Wernick to Steve Weintraub at Collider. “I think we can say. Yeah, they’ll be in the sequel,” said Reese.
Saying “they’ll make at least an appearance,” it’s unknown how small or big their roles will be. Cameo or extended role, it’s great to see that they will make the move to a future film instead of simply being one-off characters.
Fan-favorites Cable and Domino are also expected to join Deadpool in his new adventure.
Filming is planned to begin sometime this year for a likely release in 2018.
