Comic mastermind Stan Lee graced us with a cameo in X-MEN and X3, but will not appear in X-MEN: FIRST CLASS, he confirmed via his Twitter:
Warriors mine, grieve thee not that I have no cameo in X-Men 1st Class. ‘Tis just that the movie was filmed too far away for me to attend
Bryan Singer, the brilliant director of X-Men 1st Class, is a good friend of your beloved Generalissimo and we all wish him well [Lee later corrected this to mention director Matthew Vaughn].
But know ye t his, I have already completed my roles in Captain America and the new Spider-Man, so all is well in Cameo Land.

That just took away 20% of my interest towards X Men first class.
Does it really matter if Stan appears in the film or not. The fact that he is appearing in the new Spider-Man and Avengers films shows that he is a nice guy but has zero taste when iut comes to telling which films based on his characters will be any good or not.
in 2012, Dark Knight Rises will bury all comic book films at the movies.

He’s a great scientist though and he comes up with all of these inventions that sometimes work and sometimes don’t, and then he tries out a serum from Mystique’s DNA to try and stop his feet from appearing apelike and massive, so he can fit in because he’s very self-conscious about it, and unfortunately that goes wrong and he becomes the Beast that we know from the other films and cartoons and comics
