The cast of X-MEN: DARK PHOENIX is growing!
The Hollywood Reporter reveals that actor Lamar Johnson of the BAFTA Award-winning “The Next Step” has been cast in an unspecified role for the film, which is being written and directed by Simon Kinberg.
Fans will also be happy to learn that Evan Peters will return as the speedy mutant Quicksilver. There was concern of him not being involved after his name was not included with the initial report of returning actors. Peters is also currently filming the new season of “American Horror Story” for FX.
Previously revealed cast include James McAvoy as Professor X, Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique, Michael Fassbender as Magneto, Sophie Turner as Jean Grey, Tye Sheridan as Cyclops, Alexandra Shipp as Storm, Kodi Smit-McPhee as Nightcrawler and Jessica Chastain as the Shi’ar alien empress Lilandra.
Production began this week in Montreal and continues through October for a November 2, 2018 theatrical release.
