THE GIFTED episode 8 will feature Marvel’s villainous twins Fenris and a Stepford Cuckoo.

Since the beginning of Fox’s THE GIFTED, comic book fans wondered if mutant siblings Andy and Lauren Strucker were actually very different interpretations of Marvel’s Fenris aka Andreas and Andrea von Strucker. Since their last names are similar and they’re brother and sister, it made the speculation valid.

But thanks to a new synopsis for episode 8 (airing November 20) titled “Threat of eXtinction,” we know that’s definitely not the case. That’s great, because Andreas and Andrea are twincestual white supremacists who are the children of terrorist organization HYDRA leader Baron Wolfgang von Strucker. In the comics, they were genetically modified supervillains who fire bio-energy powers when in physical contact with each other.

But the familial ties are there and we’ll get to see them in the episode portrayed by actors Paul Cooper and Caitlin Mehner.

We’ll also see another familiar character from the X-Men comics, Esme Cuckoo, who is 1/5 of Emma Frost’s protégés The Stepford Cuckoos. She’ll be played by actress Skyler Samuels.
