Here are a couple updates regarding new additions to the production crews for DEADPOOL 2, X-MEN: DARK PHOENIX and GAMBIT.
With filming wrapped on director David Leitch’s Deadpool 2, the production has signed Tyler Bates to score music for the film. Bates is new to Deadpool’s world; the first film was composed by Junkie XL, who left production after (original director) Tim Miller’s exit. Bates previously worked with Leitch on films such as Atomic Blonde and John Wick.
In related X-Men film universe news, the IMDB lists Zachary Tucker as the visual effects supervisor for director/writer Simon Kinberg’s X-Men: Dark Phoenix. Tucker previously held the same position on Pacific Rim.
Channing Tatum’s “Gambit” is gearing up for filming next year and now we know who will be responsible for the visual concepts of the solo film directed by Gore Verbinski (A Cure for Wellness). According to Christopher Marc at Omega Underground, the production has signed Jess Gonchor as production designer. His previous credits include Live By Night, Hail, Caesar!, Foxcatcher, The Lone Ranger, Moneyball and True Grit.
