Celebrating X-Men Films And Beyond

DEADPOOL 2 “super duper” extended cut arriving to Comic Con International and home video.

The “Super Duper Cut” of DEADPOOL 2 is an extended edition that is rumored for home release, possibly as early as August 21st in some markets. Thanks to Blu-ray, we now have promotional artwork for the home release which show Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool topped and bottomed by Zazie Beetz as Domino and Josh Brolin as Cable.

Last month, director David Leitch confirmed to CinemaBlend plans to release the extended cut, explaining that over 12 minutes of footage was cut from the film’s assembly cut. This includes “a montage of the titular anti-hero trying a wide variety of suicide methods after being devastated by the death of Vanessa (Morena Baccarin)” and “extra Domino stuff,” along with “fun little bits” and “lots of alts!”

Update: 20th Century Fox and Fox Home Entertainment will host a panel and screen the extended cut at Comic Con International in San Diego on Saturday, July 21.

Panel (5:15pm-6:15pm in Hall H): Prepare for the ultimate superhero landing as Deadpool and pals drop into Hall H for an hour of maximum effort. Expect dirty jokes, broken fourth walls, maybe some spandex, and real, live unicorns! *Panel may not actually include mythical creatures.

Screening (10:00pm-12:00am at Horton Grand Theatre): Deadpool is bringing a little something special to Comic-Con. Be the first to see a super-duper special screening of Deadpool 2 and maybe some surprises. Deadpool costumes are encouraged, but not required, but give it your maximum effort.

Deadpool 2 is now playing in cinemas.
