Lewis Tan spoke with SyFy Wire about his brief appearance as the fan-favorite mutant alien Shatterstar in DEADPOOL 2. Despite facing a quick and gruesome death along with other members of Deadpool’s team, the actor insists on his return for director Drew Goddard’s X-FORCE film, which is plans to film in the coming months. That is, assuming it woisn’t affected by 21st Century Fox’s acquisition deals with The Walt Disney Company and/or possibly even Comcast

“You’re going to see more of my character in the X-Force film … that’s what it’s looking like. Thankfully, Deadpool went back and had a little time machine that he stole, so in the post-credits scene he brought back Peter, and it’s assumed that we’re all going to come back as well.”

This appears to be an assumption on the actor’s part, as he later said “Hopefully [they bring] back Shatterstar and everybody, because the fans really enjoyed that scene, and I get a lot of attention online about how they thought it was one of the best scenes in the film.”

The only characters confirmed thus far include Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool, Josh Brolin as Cable and Zazie Beetz as Domino.
