That’s a wrap! Simon Kinberg’s DARK PHOENIX completes brief reshoots in Montreal.

Producer Hutch Parker revealed via Intagram that reshoots on DARK PHOENIX have concluded after a couple weeks of filming in Montreal. Sharing a behind the scenes photo from the highly-secretive production, the image shows two characters in silhouette, possibly Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence) and Jean Grey (Sophie Turner), having a conversation in front of a damaged house.

If that is Mystique, it’s unknown if that’s actually Lawrence or a double in the photo. Director and writer Simon Kinberg did however share an IG story showing Mystique’s blue hand, so its anyone’s guess.

From the cast and crew’s various social media postings, we know that cast members on set over the weeks included Tye Sheridan (Cyclops), Kodi Smit-McPhee (Nightcrawler), Alexandra Shipp (Storm) and Jessica Chastain. Unsure about the likes of James McAvoy (Professor X), Michael Fassbender (Magneto), Nicholas Hoult (Beast) and Evan Peters (Quicksilver).

Fans can expect the film’s first theatrical trailer quite soon. Rumors insist it’ll be out in time for Sony’s Venom (October 5). With a February 14, 2019 June 7, 2019 release date, 20th Century Fox’s promotion for the film should ramp up sooner rather than later.
