Jean Grey is consumed by a cosmic force in DARK PHOENIX photo.

The latest photo from 20th Century Fox’s DARK PHOENIX shows the mysterious cosmic force coursing through the veins of Jean Grey (Sophie Turner). In the film, Jean is inhabited by this destructive being when attempting to save astronauts and a space shuttle above Earth. Explained by Jessica Chastain’s mysterious character, this force “destroyed everything it came into contact with” — planets, stars, people — but not Jean. One has to wonder if she’ll be able to contain it without eventually being decimated by it’s power.

Dark Phoenix arrives in theaters June 7, 2019.
