XMF/the SUPER

X-Men Films And Superhero Entertainment News — Trailers, Industry Coverage, Reviews, Original Comics: SUPER (2025-), Mutant Fandom And More

With Marvel Studios preparing to introduce a new version of the X-Men in its upcoming untitled X-Men reboot, Kit Connor is set to take on the role of Scott Summers, aka Cyclops.

Canadian entertainment news program etalk asked former Cyclops actor Tye Sheridan if he had any advice for Connor as he prepares to become the neXt actor to portray the X-Men leader. Sheridan, who first played Cyclops in X-Men: Apocalypse, offered a simple but encouraging message to his successor:

“I remember when I got cast in the X-Men series, and it was a really exciting moment for me,” he said. “I was 18 years old, and so, just congratulations and make it your own and have fun.”

Sheridan’s advice is fitting, especially considering that he knows firsthand what it is like to step into the role at such a young age. After appearing as Cyclops in X-Men: Apocalypse, Deadpool 2 and Dark Phoenix, Sheridan’s time as the character came to an end with the conclusion of Fox’s X-Men franchise.

Now, Connor has the opportunity to put his own stamp on Cyclops as Marvel Studios begins a new chapter for the X-Men within the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

It will certainly be interesting to see what Connor brings to the role when Marvel’s new X-Men team finally makes its debut on May 5, 2028.
