Disney has announced their updated slate of films and their respective release dates for the next few years. Included is another confirmation that 20th Century Fox’s THE NEW MUTANTS is still slated for April 3, 2020.
The Josh Boone-directed X-Men horror spin-off has gone through a myriad of release dates as production completed TWO YEARS AGO! This is due to varying factors, including planned reshoots which were never fully realized after the intricacies of the cast’s schedules came into conflict and Disney’s buyout of Fox ended with the studio reevaluating their projects, especially those that wanted more money and additional photography.
In addition, Disney has announced five new untitled Marvel Studios films with release dates of October 2022, February 2023, May 2023, July 2023 and November 2023. Phase five of the Marvel Cinematic Universe will most likely feature the debut of the FANTASTIC FOUR, but it’s still a question mark when the X-MEN will join; might one of these dates be reserved for them? We’ll have to wait and see!
