DEADPOOL star Ryan Reynolds and South Korean Pop band Stray Kids are fanning over each other right now over social media! Last week, the musicians performed their song “God’s Menu” wearing Deadpool inspired outfits, acessories and a set design which paid tribute to Marvel’s favorite merc with a mouth.
Reynolds responded to the performance on Twitter after seeing the below fan video edit by saying “Oh hello, Stray Kids” …and so began the lovefest.
“I did not expect the almighty one, the Ryan Reynolds to actually see our performance,” said singer Bang Chan to his fans. “You guys know that I really like Ryan Reynolds. Not only Deadpool, but every other movie he’s been in, the original Wolverine movie as well.”
After requesting an autograph, Reynolds responded with a signed bottle of his Aviation American Gin, with “For Bang Chan…maximum effort” scrawled in a black permanent marker. Chan is of legal drinking age at 23 years old, just in case you were wondering.
The official Deadpool account then followed-up with a screencap of Chan in a mask that they’re “pretty sure is not officially license merchandise,” so Reynolds urged them to “get him a real mask.”
What more will come from this new friendship? Will they land a cameo appearance or song on the DEADPOOL 3 soundtrack whenever Marvel Studios decides to get moving on the ever-popular movie franchise? Only time will tell!
