X-MEN: THE LAST STAND and DAYS OF FUTURE PAST actor Kelsey Grammer once again expressed interest in returning to the role of Dr. Henry “Hank” McCoy aka Beast in a future mutant film. “I’d love to do Beast again,” he told Nj.com during a public appearance to promote his brewery in New Jersey. “Nobody’s really talked to me about it. I think maybe they’re gonna try to do another one. I’m assuming that they would go with, you know, the first is the best.”
With the X-Men film franchise now under Disney and Marvel Studios, it’s unknown what plans, if any, there are for the those who previously portrayed these characters onscreen. Beyond Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool and a number of mutants making appearances in the Marvel Cinematic Universe starting next year, the actual long-term plan for this IP moving forward is anyone’s guess at this point. The MCU has introduced concepts of the multiverse and variants, so the possibilities are endless for Grammer and other legacy actors.
